UNDER ARMOUR EYEWEAR // TUNED

CHALLENGE:

When Under Armour came to Thatch Creative, their goal was to produce content for their sports performance eyewear... Tuned. UA developed a new lens technology featuring a “recovery system” engineered to block harmful light and maximize color contrast for the ultimate in clarity and performance.

How do you visually convey the benefits these sports performance lenses bring to athletes and active-minded customers?

SOLUTION:

Start with a story.

Our team brainstormed concepts that represented the lives of the sports-minded end users. We storyboarded the animated clip (above) targeting five sports: baseball, golf, running, shallow water fishing and deep sea fishing. Storyboarding is an essential component to the pre-production process because it allows everyone involved to align on messaging and the overall look and feel of the content.

Our crew planned out every detail, from scouting to script support to the perfect product-defining animations. This production involved multiple talent over 5 days in locations across Southern California.
